Embracing Change

HTC was founded in 1982 as a marketing and design firm and, in no time, we established ourselves as a Canadian leader excelling in graphic design, promotional campaigns and brand identity programs. 

In 1994 we saw an exciting opportunity to break new ground with the emerging possibilities of the Internet. We observed a formidable gap to fill between real-world design and real-time technology and we decided to face that challenge head-on: designing and building Canada's very first fully transactional e-commerce website for Reader's Digest in 1996.

Quickly, we realized our clients needed a one-stop shop to meet all their marketing needs, on the Web and beyond. So that's what we became, and we've lead the way ever since.

Timeline

1982:
Founded as a marketing and design firm.
 
1994:
Broke ground as an early Web pioneer.
 
1996:
Developed Canada's first e-commerce website for Reader's Digest.
 
2001:
Launched IgnitionWeb, an easy-to-use Internet Marketing software solution.
 
2001:
Developed HourGlass, the time tracking and reporting platform.
 
2002:
Launched iTouch for smaller, non-customized internet marketing programs.
 
2003:
Introduced IgnitionWeb v3.0, now with 18 comprehensive modules.
 
2004:
Accepted in Government of Canada's Scientific Research & Experimental Development program.
 
2004:
Launched WIP, the easy-to-use project management software.
 
2006:
Produced a user-friendly What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get editor for IgnitionWeb.
 
2006:
Launched the ASP version of HourGlass.
 
2007:
Added RSS Content Syndication feature to IgnitionWeb, allowing for easier and broader distribution.
 
2008:
Launched a massive Web 2.0 B2B application for Unisource Canada.
 
2008:
System-wide Code Update brings the IgnitionWeb system up to PHP5, the latest version supported by the PHP community.
 
2009:
Released IgnitioinWeb v3.9 featuring cutting-edge email marketing and SEO functions.
 
2010:
Launched HourGlass v3 with more than 50 new features and functions.
